About

I write about the things that ask for patience.

My name is Anu Gupta (AnuG). This archive is a dedicated space where I share stories that spark self-reflection, poems born from quiet observation, and notes written away from the noise of everyday life.

My Journey

Born in 1969 and raised in a business family, I did my schooling from Modern School (Barakhamba Road), followed by a B.Ed. and a Master's in Child Development from Delhi University. I hold a Kathak dance degree from Bhathkhande University, Lucknow.

Professionally, I spent nearly three decades with the British High Commission in the UK’s international development co-operation programme. Today, I work as an independent social impact consultant.I am also associated with the Arya Samaj, spreading awareness about using our rich culture and spirituality as tools for personal well-being.

How it All Began

Though I have always been fond of writing, my creative journey began during the COVID-19 lockdown. What started as small poems and comforting notes sent to family and friends quickly grew into a vital emotional outlet during a challenging pandemic. My writings resonated deeply with everyone, and it became my way of capturing my "theelings"—my personal blend of thoughts and feelings.

Encouraged by the warmth and appreciation of my inner circle, I decided to share these pieces more widely. This website is an attempt to bring my growing, unfiltered collection of poems, stories, and reflections together in one place.

On a Personal Note

Based at home in Delhi, I am happily married to Tarun, who manages his elevator business. Together, we are incredibly proud of our sons, Dr. Raghav Gupta and Madhav Gupta, who are both currently pursuing their Master’s education.

Writing is pure happiness for me. I hope you find a piece of that happiness here and enjoy exploring this collection. If a narrative or poem resonates with your own journey, please reach out I would love to connect.
